What does Banks taste like?

Banks has a fresh taste & robust berry finish that lingers long after the last sip.

Banks has strong Cassia notes which produce a spicy cinnamon flavoured, imbued with subtle hints of lime and lemon myrtle.

Is Banks a Non-Alcoholic Gin?

Banks is not a non-alcoholic gin. To be considered as a gin a drink needs to contain Juniper and there is no juniper in Banks.

Banks is its own unique non alcoholic native blend of 5 distilled botanicals – lemon myrtle, lime, cassia bark, Tasmanian pepperberry & wattle seed.

However Banks can be mixed like a Gin to create different styles & flavour profiles of drinks eg. with Tonics or Sodas.

How do you drink Banks?

Banks was made to be mixed (with tonic, soda, or as the base in cocktails) rather than sipped neat.

Alcoholic spirits contain great carriers of flavour in terms of sugar and alcohol and therefore bring strong flavours just neat.

As Banks doesn’t contain alcohol or sugar, we have made it so that it’s flavours & aromatics are best released and most vibrant when mixed with tonic, soda or within cocktails.

Our recommended serve of Banks is:

60ml measure of Banks

over lots of ice

mixed with a premium tonic or soda

Garnish with a slice of lime.

Enjoy!

Do I need to do anything different when mixing Banks?

As Banks doesn’t contain alcohol the botanical flavours in Banks start to dilute when mixed, shaken or stirred with water.

To enjoy the best flavours from Banks our recommendation is to take steps to reduce the dilution process of the spirit in the drink you are making.  This means “dry shaking” the cocktail (shaking the liquid ingredients in the shaker first) before adding ice to cool the drink down.

Is Banks 100% Alcohol free?

Banks is classified as a non-alcoholic beverage. We never add alcohol our process during distillation. However, given that we are dealing with natural botanicals Banks may contain trace elements of alcohol (<0.5% ABV) when consumed without mixing or diluting w/ other non-alcoholic liquids e.g. Tonic.

When Banks is diluted with a mixer (tonic or soda) at the recommended serve levels, the alcohol level is comparable to the level of alcohol found in orange juice or apple juice.

Can I drink Banks when I am pregnant?

Yes, but we will always recommend consulting a medical professional if you have any concerns about consuming Banks whilst pregnant.

Banks may contain trace elements of alcohol (<0.5% ABV) when consumed without mixing or diluting.

Banks is also sugar and sweetener free making it a great choice to drink either pre- or post-natal.

How do I store Banks & how long can I keep it?

Once opened, we recommend consuming your bottle within three months. Always reseal with the original bottle cap after opening.

Banks does not need to be refrigerated, just store in a cool place out of direct sunlight.

My banks liquid isn't completely clear, why is there condensation in the bottle?

Sometimes your Bottle of Banks may appear either slightly cloudy or have a small amount of condensation at the top of the bottle. This is because without the alcohol as a bonding agent or preservative the natural botanicals can sometimes separate from the water. It’s perfectly fine and natural.

Just shake the bottle and the flavour elements will dilute & remix. This does not change the taste or performance of Banks.

Is Banks sugar free?

Yes, Banks is sugar and sweetener free.

Is Banks Vegan?

100%. We only use all-natural plants and botanicals in distilling Banks.

Is Banks Organic?

Yes, we select and source all our botanicals from either certified organic growers or they have been handpicked from the wild. These wild botanicals aren’t certified as organic, but they are all picked just as we find them untouched from the bush.

Why is there a perservative in banks?

Alcohol is a natural preservative. Because Banks does not contain the natural protection of 40% alcohol, we do need to use a preservative.

We use a combination Potassium Sorbate (a salt) & Citric Acid to preserve the ingredients in Banks.

Is Banks Gluten free?

Yes, Banks is Gluten Free.
